Our Lady We Fire is a virtual reality game of Ubisoft. The team behind the game associated with director Jean-Jacques Arnaud to bring this story to the world of video game. The story will focus on having to escape from the cathedral while it is engulfed by the flames in 2019.
A docu-fiction of the same title will be released in March 2022. That said, Notre-Dame on fire will be launched parallel to the film. Unfortunately, for the moment, we still do not know on which platforms VR the adventure will be available.
The team of Notre-Dame on fire has solicited the help of engineers for reconstruction. Ubisoft has used detailed 3D models that have been used in Assassin's Creed: Unity in 2014. With these models, developers have been able to offer an hour's virtual reality experience that places players directly inside the cathedral in fire.
It was Arnaud who approached Ubisoft at the beginning of last year for this project. He wanted to have a video game link with his next movie. Considering that the documentary will go out in March, it does not leave enough time at the studio to develop a full game. However, it is essentially enough for a small VR style escape room project.
Its Escape Game, these are puzzles and cooperation with your teammates, said Ubisoft's senior vice-president, Deborah Paper Pier. The idea is to make a way through the cathedral to find relics and fight the fire because you have to save Notre-Dame before the end of the time.
The whole world was dismayed when several sources of information reported that the medieval cathedral had caught fire. The flames destroyed a large part of the 850-year-old church. Many people and organizations mobilized around the reconstruction effort of the Paris Monument.
