Wezen's 3Q sales fell 10.32% year-on-year.
Wezen announced on the 4th and 2022 results. In this quarter, Wezen recorded sales of KRW 59.6 billion, operating profit of KRW 17.4 billion, and net profit of KRW 18.8 billion. The figure grew by 10.32%, 6.58%, and 30.53%, respectively.
According to data released by Wezen, the influence on decrease in sales is analyzed as a continuous decline in representative IP sales in Wezen, especially domestic sales. According to product analysis by product, the representative IP mu and R2 in Wezen decreased by 13% and 15% YoY, respectively, and domestic sales in the third quarter of this year were 36 billion won, down 27% year-on-year.
Wezen focuses on developing new works, which is scheduled to be released in 2023 to overcome the continuous decline, and focuses on business in the second half and 2023. First, we are coordinating the soft launch schedule of the Awaken Legends (IDLE RPG), which aims to expand its overseas business. In addition, Wezen Blue Lock's Mu IP-based Unreal Engine 5 Mobile MMORPG 'Project M', Webzenova's Animated Collected genre RPG 'Project W', and Wezen Red Core's Unreal Engine 5 new work It will be released in the market sequentially.
Kim Jae-young, CEO of Wezen, said, It is somewhat stagnant throughout the game industry, but it plans to consistently develop its own game for future growth as well as publishing and startup investment. We will establish a stable management/business plan after next year.
