Survival MMO Myth of Empires disappeared without a trace of Steam, now the competition calls the reason

These are the accusations: In a statement, it is said to Angela Games, developer behind Myth of Empires, the source code of ARK: Survival Evolved have illicitly used as a base for their survival MMO.

There is also some details on how it could come to this alleged theft. For obviously important developer of Myth of Empires have previously worked for the Chinese parent company of Snail Games and had such access to the source code of ARK.

In the statement puts it:

Myth of Empires has been REMOVED from Steam possibly Forever!

Studio Wildcard and Snail Games USA Inc. believe in good faith that the Myth of Empires was developed by: (1) the source code of Ark: Survival Evolved stole and (2) the stolen source code as the basis for the game Myth of Empires have used. [...] Key employees of the developer of Myth of Empires worked at the Chinese parent company of Snail Games USA Inc. and at least one of them had the access to them to access the source code of Ark: Survival Evolved enabled.

In addition, there is, several developers of Studio Wildcard found some almost identical game mechanics and other notices in the code of the game, the notes on the theft.

The results of the investigation have set before the studio on December 1 at Valve, shortly after Myth of Empires disappeared on Steam.

What the developers say? Angela Games has so far not expressed directly on the allegations of Studio wildcard. Previously, there was already a statement in which it said that the allegations were unfounded and that they would do everything possible to invalidate them. As we go from here? It remains to be seen what the tests show by Valve and who will ultimately vindicate. Until then is difficult to foresee what the consequences should be seriously jeopardized if the allegations were confirmed.
